SUMMARY:RESTORATIVE JUSTICE PANEL SERIES: THE OTHER SIDE OF CRIME
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, March 4\, 2026 marks the opening of our three-part Restorative Justice Panel Series — a set of community-centered conversations designed to explore justice\, healing\, and accountability through multiple lived perspectives. Each panel in this series will highlight a different voice and experience\, creating space for understanding\, dialogue\, and connection as we bring together one community around a shared goal: healing and restoration. \nThe first panel\, “The Other Side of Crime\,” will feature parents of crime victims who will share their personal stories of loss\, grief\, healing\, and resilience. Through honest and thoughtful discussion\, panelists will speak about the long-term impact of crime on families\, the challenges of navigating recovery\, and the ways restorative approaches can support healing and understanding. This conversation is intended to honor their experiences while fostering empathy and awareness within our broader community. \nCommunity members are invited to attend\, listen\, and learn in a respectful and supportive environment. Whether you are new to restorative justice or already engaged in this work\, this panel offers a meaningful opportunity to deepen your understanding of how crime affects individuals and families — and how communities can respond with compassion and purpose. \nJoin us at Foster Auditorium on the Clark College campus on March 4 from 5:30–7:30 PM. The event is free and open to the public\, and all are welcome. \nThank you to the President’s Office at Clark College for helping make this event possible!
