Event Series Event Series: 4 Days of Aloha

Get excited for the return of 4 Days of Aloha! Due to the impacts of COVID-19, the festival format is undergoing changes. Please anticipate changes in events and locations. Day One : Thursday July 22, 2021 Hula & Craft Workshops Day 1 

Our Hula & Craft Workshops offer a variety of classes from traditional oli to hula ʻauana to lei making, poi pounding and so much more. Participants have the opportunity to spend 2.5 hours in each workshop immersing themselves in the Hawaiian/Polynesian culture and learning from world renowned Kumu Hula and Master Artisans.

Following a fun-filled day of workshops, participants return to join the rest of the community for the Pāʻina (Hawaiian style party). Attendees enjoy an evening full of ʻono food, kanikapila music, hula, friends and liquid aloha. This party is not one to miss! See you there!

Day Two : Friday July 23, 2021 Hula & Craft Workshops Day 2 

Workshop simlatr to Day One. After the last day of workshops, our festival makes its way to Esther Short Park in Downtown Vancouver. 4 Days of Aloha festivities in the park kick off on Friday evening with our Hapa Haole Hula Competition. The evening begins with beautiful live Hawaiian music for everyone to enjoy. Featured Kumu Hula are tasked with judging hālau hula that travel from all over to compete in both group and solo categories.

Day Three : Saturday July 24, 2021 Hōʻike & Hawaiian Festival 

People of all ages and walks of life return to Esther Short Park to enjoy more live entertainment, ʻono grinds, island themed vendors, and the undeniable aloha vibes. Performances and presentations start early in the morning and feature our workshop participants led by the respective Kumu. Throughout the day, we have awesome raffle prize drawings and one lucky winner goes home with a grand prize.

Day Four : Sunday July 25, 2021 

Attendees return to the park for more island vibes. Hawaiʻi is known for its melting pot of cultures and we highlight the multi-cultural community at the park. Come early and save your spot so you donʻt miss the exciting colorful display of culture from Taiko Drumming to Filipino Tinikling and even the traditional Chinese Lion Dance. Shopping with our awesome vendors, grinds from the ʻono food vendors and the beer garden remains open till the closing of our last day.
