Clark County Historical Museum’s Guest Speaker Series is pleased to present historian Melissa Williams’ online presentation “A Place to Call Home: Housing the African American Experience Post-World War II.”

Williams will share the story of housing and Vancouver’s African American community from 1940-1960. Learn how Black families made Southwest Washington their home during wartime, what factors pushed many out of the area after the war, and about the lasting contributions these first Black residents made to Vancouver.

This presentation will be live streamed on YouTube. You will receive a link to the event after you purchase a ticket.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased online at www.cchmuseum.org/shop.
