Love Street Playhouse is proud to present Jeffrey Hatcher’s new adaptation of Frederick Knott’s original thriller WAIT UNTIL DARK. Show dates run February 16th through March 10th at Love Street Playhouse, 126 Loves Ave in Woodland, WA. Single tickets are $25 on sale at www.lovestreetplayhouse.com.
THE SHOW
In 1944 Greenwich Village, Susan Hendrix (played by Kristen Bennett of Vancouver), a blind yet capable woman, is imperiled by con men in her own apartment. As the climax builds, Susan discovers that her blindness just might be the key to her escape, but she and her tormentors must wait until dark to play out this classic thriller’s chilling conclusion.
“It’s everyone’s worst fear, to be trapped in a room with an assailant and not be able to see where they are”, says David Roberts, director of the show. “The fun part about this show is that Susan, being blind, has the upper hand in that environment”. “The audience gets to feel like they are right there with them submersed in darkness. A unique theatre experience”.
Director, David Roberts has assembled a talented cast for this thriller production. Starring in WAIT UNTIL DARK is Kristen Bennett of Vancouver playing Susan, Henry Lorch of Vancouver playing Roat, Tony Provenzola of Vancouver playing Carlino, Kyle Johnson of Vancouver playing Mike, Michael Evan Adent as Sam, and Amelia Benson playing Gloria.
