Join us for an inspiring evening with acclaimed author and historian, Dr. Cynthia Orozco, as she Inspires our local community through history and social commentary.

She will delve into the rich origins and history of League 0f United Latin American Citizens and the Mexican American civil rights movements. Afro-Latina Born to Mexican immigrants in Cuero, Texas, Dr. Orozco’s insights offers a unique perspective.

Dr. Orozco’s books include: Pioneer of Mexican-American Civil Rights: Alonso S. Perales., No Mexicans, Women, Or Dogs Allowed: The Rise of the Mexican American Civil Rights Movement., and Agent of Change.
