Ukraine Unbroken

February 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of Russian occupation of Crimea and 2nd anniversary of all-out Russian invasion of Ukraine. Tatiana Terdal, member of Advisory Board of Ukrainian Foundation, shares her experience of living and teaching in Ukraine, visiting Mercy Corps office in Severodonetsk (now under Russian occupation) in 2016 and Lviv in the summer of 2023.

Join us to hear why Tatiana, together with millions of other Ukrainian Americans, believes in Ukraine, its victory, and its democratic future.

No registration is required for this event.

About Tatiana:

Tatiana Terdal is a native of Ternopil, Ukraine and grew up in Cherkasy, the central part of the country that is currently under siege by military forces. She is a prominent figure in the Ukrainian community in Portland. With a master’s degree in economics and international development from Yale, she is known for her dedication and activism to Ukrainian causes. From organizing rallies to facilitating aid connections during the 2014 invasion, Terdal continues to lead the local community. As Ukraine faces adversity, Terdal tirelessly uses social media to educate Americas and provide support. Her commitment reflects a deep sense of duty, driven on by the ongoing struggle in Ukraine.

About the Ukrainian Foundation:

Ukrainian Foundation was established in 2006 by Ukrainian immigrants to help Ukrainian refugees adjust to their new home in the United States. Their base is in Portland, Oregon, home to over 100,000 Ukrainian immigrants. Since the invasion of the Eastern portion of Ukraine in 2014, the foundation has been sending medical supplies to those fighting to protect their cities. In 2022, with the attack on the whole of Ukraine, they have been apart of the effort to help the unmet needs of displaced Ukrainians both in and outside of Ukraine.
