The Big Benefits of Reading

Stories are an important portal through which children learn about the world around them, and a love of reading prepares kids for school and for life. As a pediatrician at Vancouver Clinic, I encourage all of my families to read to their children every day. The good news is that most of them do! However, even literature-loving parents may not realize the positive emotional and cognitive effects of sharing stories with their kids.
