Shared Hope International, a trusted leader in preventing child trafficking for more than 27 years, is launching two free community events in Southwest Washington as part of its Keep Our Kids Safe Initiative, aimed at strengthening local prevention and awareness around child trafficking and online exploitation. On April 9 at the Hilton Vancouver, the full‑day Professional Training Day will equip educators, medical providers, law enforcement, social workers, faith leaders, and youth‑serving professionals with expert, survivor‑informed tools to recognize grooming, respond in trauma‑sensitive ways, and work collaboratively to protect vulnerable youth. Then, on April 16 at the Battle Ground Farmers Market, the Youth‑Led Community Awareness Night will bring families and teens together for student‑driven presentations, practical digital‑safety education, and accessible resources that empower youth and adults to look out for one another online and in the community. Together, these events aim to build a more informed, united, and proactive community where children are safer and exploitation is harder to hide.
