This is an IN-PERSON EVENT hosted at Hook & Needle in downtown Vancouver, taught by Becka of Radiant Beans.
Skill Level:
Beginner. No experience necessary — just curiosity and a willingness to try something new.
Ages 10+. An adult must be onsite during class.
Class Description:
Calling all young makers! This one-hour beginner class introduces kids ages 10 and up to the joyful world of crochet. In a relaxed, encouraging setting, students will learn the foundational stitches and techniques as they create a bookmark for summer reading. Students will learn how to hold their yarn and hook, the chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch, and how to fasten off.
Supplies:
All supplies are included. Each student will receive worsted weight cotton yarn and a crochet hook.
A written pattern will be provided in class, and a video tutorial will be shared afterward so students who don’t finish during class time can complete their project at home at their own pace.
Registration & Cancellations:
Register at hookandneedlefiber.com. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before class are eligible for a full refund; within 48 hours, store credit only; within 24 hours, non-refundable. Class may be cancelled or rescheduled for low attendance.
