Donut Nook- Best Donuts in Vancouver

Anyone who has lived in Vancouver a long time will testify Donut Nook is a true local institution. Owner Phil Pomeroy opened Donut Nook in the Saint John’s neighborhood in 1976 and has operated it there continuously for nearly 50 years. Pomeroy takes pride in the fact that his employees have all worked for him for at least 13 years, and some as long as 25 years. The shop’s walls are adorned with Pomeroy’s own Pacific Northwest landscape photography, and the couches and chairs are usually filled with friendly regulars who are happy to tell you their favorite Donut Nook specialties. The donuts themselves are very good and fairly priced. Any Vancouver local simply must experience Donut Nook at least once, but donut lovers will definitely be back.

Voodoo Donuts – Best Donuts in Vancouver

The donut shop that has become synonymous with Portland has made its way across the river! Known for its zany, edgy donut flavors and names, Voodoo Donuts has cemented itself as an iconic Northwest business. Even the shop itself—a former bank painted bright pink—exudes the rebellious spirit of Voodoo. Inside, there is plenty of seating amidst the crystal chandeliers, Voodoo merch and even a plastic skeleton. The donuts, like the decor, continue the provocative motif, with flavors such as the “Old Dirty Bastard” (Oreo and peanut butter) and the “Voodoo Doll” (chocolate iced, doll-shaped donut with a pretzel stabbed into its side). There’s no place like Voodoo Donuts.

Mr. Maple – Best Donuts in Vancouver

With locations in Hazel Dell, Andresen Plaza, Cascade Park and Orchards (not to mention in Wilsonville and Phoenix, Arizona), Mr. Maple is never more than a few minutes away. That means you’re never far from a large variety of fresh, consistently good donuts. Mr. Maple always has racks full of every kind of donut imaginable, especially the namesake maple bar, making it a delicious and convenient stop for just about everyone in Vancouver.

Krispy Kreme – Best Donuts in Vancouver

No donut review is complete without mentioning the king of glaze, Krispy Kreme. Located by the Home Depot off Andresen and Padden Parkway, Krispy Kreme is best known for its iconic glazed donut, but that’s not all it has to offer. In addition to its wide variety of classic donut flavors, Krispy Kreme frequently runs fun promotions and holiday assortments. You can’t go wrong with a staple like Krispy Kreme.
